Hi all, just wanted to let you know all is well with me. I’m still hanging around by my brother’s home and visiting with niece, nephew and great nieces and 1 little great nephew. They are keeping me busy! T&T and I took a stoll along the Ochlockonee River. It was so calm and peaceful! Nice walk and picnic.
Helping out on Projects
To earn my stay, I always lend a hand on projects that need to be done.

And after all the hard work, we saw this beautiful peacock at the dump.

Back to the Florida Egler Resort
I am blessed to be welcomed here each winter to do projects and visit my niece and nephew and his family. We always have a great time and find interesting things to do.
First adventure was in search of Mango salsa. Off to Thomasville we went. Only my brother, his wife and I were on the trip. We stopped at this historic house with so many unique building details. 50 windows and 40 doors was one. No 90 degree corners in rooms another. Having to go outside to access the 2nd and 3rd floor another. The 1 I found most intriguing was the 3rd floor room that during the summer and winter solstice images were cast onto the floor.

Then, onto the produce market to get our favorite salsa. Unfortunately, there is no mango, but we are trying the peach, which was delicious. Maybe not quite as good as mango;but still good. After drooling over the fresh produce, we had lunch at George and Louie’s. Fantastic food!! Then just a short drive home with a detour to Proof Brewery. Thanks for meeting us Shannon! Sorry no pictures. We were focused on the beer.
Family time in Charleston, WV
It was a pleasure to help my sister Kathy out after her shoulder surgery to repair some torn tendons in her left arm. We talked a lot, ate well and watched a lot of football!

On one of my last nights here, we had fun dressing up and playing, acting out a murder mystery. Pasta, Passion and Pistols. So much fun!!

Happy New Year to all! Wishing you a year filled with new experiences and discovering new places in the USA!
Christmas in Charleston, WV
I am spending quality time with my sister Kathy at her home in Charleston, WV this year. Kathy had surgery on her shoulder 4 days before Christmas. Given the fact that I am living my dream because of her financial talent, I offered to help her out and be her caretaker for a couple of weeks. She’s recovering quickly and we are enjoying our time together as well as a lot of football!

Good thing I went to sleep when I did! Santa was very close!

Visiting family in Florida
It’s always an adventure when I stop at my brother’s place in Florida. Between projects that need to be done, to spending time with his family and performing a mystery play we always have a great time.

Merry Christmas to all!
Wishing all of my traveling friends a very merry Christmas! And may you find yourself outside exploring new places in the New Year!
St. Joseph peninsula SP near St. Joe, Florida
This park just reopened in October, and it was beautiful. Hurricane Michael took out a lot of the trees here, but the campsites are well spaced, just open to each other. There is also a great boardwalk to access the beach. Again, I got here before high winds and rain. Luckily, the next day was clear, and a walk to the beach was welcomed.

Henderson Beach State Park near Destin, Florida
I’m not sure how I got lucky enough to find a spot here, but this was a beautiful campground. I know it’s been hit by hurricanes in the past, and it might be why I haven’t stayed here before. That or just the availability is so hard to get. I stayed 1 night, and I had just enough time to walk the boardwalk to the beach and stroll the beach a little before the rain moved in. I am definitely going to try and get back here for a longer stay.
