Wishes to all of my family and friends for a blessed Christmas. It’s been a great holiday for me!

I was blessed to be in town with family to help celebrate my newest great nephews baptism. What a special moment.

This is one of my favorite places. Relaxing but cold . Bonus was free washer and dryer, so laundry was on the agenda.

As I wander my way slowly back to family, I have the opportunity to revisit some of my favorite parks here in Florida. Falling Waters has a couple great trails with different views of the waterfall and surrounding sinkhole. Each time here the landscape changes. With rain, the waterfall flows more. It was warmer than it’s been, so a few hours on the beach were nice. However, it’s nothing like the Gulf beaches. I was also able to watch some great football games and give myself a haircut. I’m getting much better with my clippers.

One more beach stay and the weather has improved! Sunshine, long walks on the beach and glorious sunsets. I am fully appreciating Mother nature and the sun. Granted it’s still not 80 degrees but after this last week of rain, wind and cold; I’ll take 60/65 and sun.

So my original plan was to get some sun and lounge on the beach. Mother Nature had a different plan. Good thing it’s football playoffs. I was able to get out and walk the beach but storms came and went the whole time I was here. Thankfully, Pearl received an early Christmas present. A new Smart TV so I can stream, cast or mirror football games and watch on a larger screen than my phone. Thanks to brother Tom for the install assist.

This is a remote park with a beautiful beach and access to the Gulf of Mexico. Unfortunately for me, the weather was cold and windy. At least the sun was out so a long walk on trails and the beach.

This was the first year that I was able to share Thanksgiving with my family in Florida. We had a blast cooking together and even managed to get Christmas lights up over the weekend.

This park is one of my brother’s and his wife’s favorite. Great trails, peaceful river walk, lots of deer, fun white squirrels running around and only 28 camping spots. You’re also close to St. Marks wildlife refuse and historic lighthouse. I understand why they love it so much. I jumped around to 3 different sites in order to extend my stay. If only they rented kayaks I would have gone out on the river. However there’s too many gators here for me to feel comfortable on a paddle board.

I am always renewed in spirit when I stay here. It was even more powerful with the New Moon and metor showers. I find it incredible the manpower it took over unknown years to build up this village and all the mounds, then it’s abandoned.
