Crooked River State Park near St. Mary’s, Georgia

I know,  another campground I was just at but come on. It’s a beautiful place and I was hoping to be far enough south to avoid the snowfall thst came across the south. Not so lucky with the cold but I can easily say I wasn’t bored. Long hikes bundled up and 1 day chilling in Pearl. I say chilling but I was toasty warm inside. Hoping the warm weather will be here soon!!

Magnolia Springs State Park near Millen, Georgia

I know,  I’ve been here recently also. Plans keep changing and I thought I was just here as a break before heading to Evans. Mother Nature had other plans. Like Snow and Ice in Evans. Stop, readjust plans. I was able to extend my 1 night stay to 4, book a place farther south when the worst weather was due to hit. Mary and Dave stopped by for lunch on their way home. I soaked up some history while here.

Laura S.Walker State Park in Waycross, Georgia

I know,  I was just here! It’s all about travel routes and where I thought I was going. Life has a funny way of throwing curves at you. That is one of the advantages of my lifestyle. I’m extremely flexible. And I’m lucky to  get great locations to stay at. I spent a week here, hiking,  taking day trips and watching some great football. If you’re looking for a place to camp or stay at one of the many cottages this is a great place to visit.

Day trip to my happy place!

Stephen C. Foster State Park is one of my all-time favorite places to visit. The campground is closed for upgrades to the electrical system in the campground. So I took a ride over to visit and recharge. Beautiful sunshine, the weather was a little cooler than I prefer but much warmer than it’s been.

Projects before I leave family

It’s always something when you own a home. This year, we were back on the roof at my nephew’s house. Resealing the Lanei roof. We had done a few seams last year but had to finish the rest. Not looking forward to next year when a full liquid seal will go on over it all.

Time with Family

The Christmas visit has begun! First stop was visiting my Nephew and his family. All of us were excited for a few days together. Each day, the kids and I took an imaginary journey in Pearl. We drove to San Francisco, Eureka, California, and took a bridge to Hawaii and drove around the island. Next day, it was Italy! And then in the afternoon we went to Paris! I totally enjoyed their great imaginations. I pretended to be 7 years old and my name was Amy.

They also entertained me with SHOW! Each one sang or were performing dance moves. Loved the energy!
